Canva vs Adobe Express: which is better? If you had asked me a couple of years ago, I probably would have said Canva, hands-down.

It’s definitely one of the simpler design tools out there, and our team at Ecomm.Design uses it a lot to create images for blog posts, ecommerce templates, and more.

But both Adobe Express and Canva have evolved a lot lately.

Canva is still one of my favorite tools for design, but I’ve found myself relying more and more on Adobe Express for specific things, like accessing various typefaces, royalty free images, and unflattened PDFs.

So, which product should you choose?

The Quick Verdict

TLDR: Here’s my verdict.

Adobe Express is a more affordable solution if you just need a single license, and it’s much better for exporting PDFs, accessing various typefaces, experimenting with royalty-free images, and aligning your design tools with other popular solutions, like Photoshop.

Canva is the better option for small teams (like ours here at Ecomm.Design).

Canva features a lot more collaboration tools, slightly more advanced AI tools, and a wider range of templates. It’s also a more powerful option for video editing.

Canva vs Adobe Express: Feature Comparison

Adobe Express and Canva have a lot of similarities as web-based graphic design tools, intended for beginners. Both support users in creating various assets, from email signatures to YouTube videos.

You can also access templates, free design assets, and drag-and-drop editors on both.

Both tools also offer generative AI features, although I found Canva’s a little more powerful (more on that later). So, let’s break down some of the core features, and how they compare.

Design Templates and Exports

First, Adobe Express and Canva both make it simple to get started with design, through a range of templates, however Canva offers considerably more options.

With Canva, you get 250,000 templates (for free), and 610,000+ on the free plan. With Adobe, you get thousands of basic templates on the free plan, and over 100,000 on the paid plan.

The quality of the templates on both platforms is fantastic, but Canva gives you more freedom to create just about anything, from presentations, to documents, logos, social media posts, and even products that you can print with Canva Print.

Adobe offers templates for social media posts, documents, presentations, flyers, and so on, but there are definitely a lot fewer options, particularly on the free plan (which is what I was using here).

Canva’s AI tools also make it easier to find the templates you need, or create them from scratch. Although Adobe offers a great “Start from your content” option if you want to create something based on an existing asset, like a flyer.

In terms of “export” options, Adobe’s only redeeming feature is that it offers unflattened PDF export Canva offers more export formats, including PPTX, GIF, and SVG.

Photo and Video Editing

Canva and Adobe Express both offer access to drag-and-drop editors, and simple photo and video editing tools.

You can make standard adjustments to both videos and photos in both platforms, filling the background in images, removing an image, resizing videos, and so on.

Adobe Express even allows you to do some of these things with just one click from your dashboard.

Both tools also offer access to various filters and effects, and can replace specific aspects of an image for you.

Notably though, Canva doesn’t offer background removal on its free plan. Adobe does offer background removal, and can even invert cutouts, so you remove the photo subject, instead of the background, which is handy.

Both tools are incredibly intuitive, and offer access to a huge range of free assets you can use in your designs.

However, Canva offers slightly more stock resources (over a million compared to over 800,000 free images on Adobe’s free plan).

When it comes to video editing, Adobe Express offers a range of formats to help you create content for different purposes, like TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Canva offers a similar experience, and also has a handy “Beat Sync” tool, to help you edit the music in your content.

When I dove a little deeper into everything offered by Canva, I did feel the video editing tools were a little better.

For instance, you get more GIF design tools, free video clips, backgrounds and scenes. Plus, the platform loads a lot faster than Adobe too.

Website Design, Brand Kits, and Collaboration

Most people will use Adobe Express and Canva for social media images, or basic templates. We use Canva to create the images we use on this website. However, both tools do allow you to create basic, single-page websites.

I’d definitely recommend considering a proper website builder if you need one though, such as Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify, as the websites you can create are pretty basic.

What you can create with a lot more efficiency though, are brand kits.

Adobe Express has its “Brands” tool, where you can upload logos, color palettes, and other assets you want to keep consistent across your assets (like fonts).

Adobe Express is particularly excellent for fonts, with over 25,000 options compared to Canva’s 2,000.

Canva also offers these features via its “Brand Hub”, along with some additional tools on Teams plans, such as the ability to set content restrictions and approval workflows.

Speaking of team-based tools, Canva is much better for collaboration. Although Adobe offers access to shared Docs, and an admin console for license management, Canva allows users to create automated workflows, work simultaneously on products with colleagues, and assign permissions to teams.

Canva even gives you the option to sort projects into multiple categories, and share them with teams through Slack, LinkedIn pages, and more.

Canva vs Adobe Express: AI Tools

As noted above, both Canva and Adobe Express now feature generative AI tools.

Adobe offers a range of four AI features at the time of writing: Text to image, generative fill, text to template, and text effects.

Basically, all of these tools allow you to access the benefits of the Adobe Firefly platform to create assets for your brand.

All of these features are great, but Canva’s AI tools are even stronger.

With Canva Magic Studio, you get access to AI solutions for creating a wide range of different templates and assets.

You can generate images from scratch using Dall-E and Google’s software.

There are AI tools for morphing fonts, animating images, resizing content, creating videos, and so much more. You can even use AI to magically expand or edit different images.

Plus, Canva is a lot more generous with how much you can use these tools. Adobe Express paid users get 250 AI credits a month, while Canva Pro users get 500 credits per month.

Ease of Use and Customer Experience

After taking the time to experiment with both Canva and Adobe Express, I can say they’re both very easy to use.

Canva makes it simple to find the templates you need, customize images to suit your requirements, and experiment with artificial intelligence. It’s also extremely easy to collaborate with team members and keep track of your projects.

Adobe Express is just as straightforward. You can instantly find templates in your home dashboard, access a range of “quick action” options, like the “remove background” features, and use AI to generate all kinds of content.

However, I felt like I had a lot more freedom to experiment with Canva than I did with Adobe Express. While Adobe Express’s interface is simpler and cleaner, Canva inspires you to create more and explore a wider range of options.

Customer Support

While Canva is a little more intuitive overall, Adobe Express does offer better customer support. Both platforms give users access to a ton of self-help resources, like tutorials, FAQs, videos, and guides, which I love.

However, you can reach out to Adobe through phone, live chat, email, and social media.

With Canva, you’re limited to only email support, and responses can take up to a week if you’re on the free plan.

If you do upgrade to a paid plan, you can expect responses within 24 hours, but that still feels a little slow when you’re dealing with a serious design issue.

Canva vs Adobe Express: Pricing

Last but not least, let’s look at the pricing.

Both Adobe and Canva offer free plans (which was great for me when conducting this comparison). Adobe’s free plan offers 25 generative AI credits per month, video and photo editing, 10 quick actions, thousands of design elements, animation effects and a background remover tool.

Canva’s free plan includes the drag-and-drop editing tool, 250,000 free templates, 100+ design types, 1 million free assets, and AI powered tools like Magic Design. You can also use Canva Print for print on demand purposes.

Adobe Express Paid Plans

Canva vs Adobe Express: The Verdict

Overall, Canva and Adobe Express are both excellent web-based design tools. However, after testing both, I still think Canva is the better option, particularly for small teams. It offers more templates, more unique AI features, and better value for money.

However, if you’re looking for a simple solution for a single user, you want unflattened PDFs, or you need exceptional customer support, Adobe Express may be the better pick for you.

Shopify vs Looka: Which platform do you need?

At first, they may seem like completely different solutions. Shopify is a leader in the ecommerce industry, while Looka is best-known for its intuitive logo design tools. However, there is some overlap between the two options.

Shopify actually does have its own logo design tool (Hatchful), and users can build a website with Looka (although it doesn’t support ecommerce).

I took a closer look at both options, to provide you with this simple comparison guide.

Looka vs Shopify: Quick Verdict

  • Choose Shopify: If you want a comprehensive ecommerce platform packed with tools for business management and omnichannel selling.
  • Choose Looka: If you need a user-friendly design platform, suitable for creating branded assets (like logos), and simple websites.

  • Built-in business management tools (inventory, orders, shipping)

Looka vs Shopify: Pricing

Let’s start by looking at pricing. Perhaps unsurprisingly, since both platforms target very different audiences, their approach to pricing is very different too.

You can experiment with Looka’s design tools, like the logo builder, for free, but you’ll need to pay if you want to download and use your assets.

The cheapest option is to simply buy a low-res version of your logo for $20. Alternatively, you can purchase a “Premium” logo package, with multiple color options, high-res file types, and full ownership rights for $65.

If you want to access a wider range of templates for things like invoices, business cards, letterheads, and social posts, you’ll need a Brand Kit plan, priced at $96 per year.

To add a website, you’ll need the Web Brand Kit subscription, for $129 per year.

While there’s no “free plan” for Shopify, you can access a free trial for 3 days. There’s also the option to use Shopify to sell through social media with a Starter plan which costs $5 per month.

The core plans for Shopify include the Basic Shopify plan ($39 per month), Shopify ($105 per month), and Advanced Shopify ($399 per month).

There’s also an enterprise plan available (Shopify Plus), with pricing starting at $2,300 per month. Notably, with Shopify you will need to pay extra transaction fees if you don’t use Shopify Payments (the company’s proprietary payment processor).

Looka vs Shopify: Feature Comparison

While I could look at each of the features offered by both platforms in depth here, I’m going to keep things simple for this particular comparison.

Make sure you check out our more comprehensive reviews if you want more detail on what Looka and Shopify can do. 

Website Design and Ecommerce

First, as I mentioned above, both Looka and Shopify allow users to create websites, but you’ll be a lot more limited in what you can design with Looka.

Looka’s website design tools, included on the most expensive plan, allow you to use AI to create a basic branded website.

You can use this site to as a portfolio for your work, and even boost your marketing with content and blogging.

However, Looka doesn’t support ecommerce, so if you’re looking to develop your own online store, you’ll be out of luck.

Shopify, on the other hand is a comprehensive website builder and ecommerce platform. It gives you the tools to create a far more engaging online experience for customers, with SEO-friendly elements, unique themes, and the option to add your own domain name.

Plus, it supports omnichannel ecommerce, with options for selling directly through your site (with a simple one-click checkout), via marketplaces, or on social media channels. You can even use Shopify POS to sell products in-person.

Branding Tools and Asset Creation

Where Shopify stands out as a leading commerce solution, Looka thrives in the web-based graphic design landscape.

Notably, you can create branded assets with Shopify’s free resources, like Hatchful for logo creation.

However, Looka’s logo design tools are a little more impressive in my opinion. They give you a lot more control over your colors, shapes, fonts, images, and more.

The system is very easy to use too, with a drag-and-drop editor, and handy AI features that can generate images for you in a matter of seconds.

You can also go beyond simply creating a logo with Looka. The platform includes resources for designing entire kits of branded assets, from business cards, to branded merchandise, social media content, flyers, posters, and brochures.

One slight issue I encountered with Looka, however, is that although you can create mockups of branded shirts, pens, and other products, the company doesn’t offer a print on demand service.

That means you’ll need to work with another company like Printful or Printify to create your merch.

Marketing Capabilities

Both Shopify and Looka can help to elevate the results of your marketing campaigns, but they do so in very different ways.

For instance, with Looka, you can create the assets you need to boost your marketing strategy, such as social media posts, flyers, and email templates. However, you can’t run automated marketing campaigns from the platform directly.

Shopify’s built-in marketing tools are relatively basic. You can create a SEO-friendly website, produce blogs for content marketing, and even communicate with customers through Shopify Email, or Live Chat.

You can also run promotional campaigns and sales with discounts and voucher codes.

However, if you want to run more comprehensive marketing campaigns, you may need to take advantage of integrations with the Shopify platform.

The good news is that unlike Looka, which only integrates with a handful of platforms Shopify offers thousands of integrations to choose from for all kinds of marketing tools, from Instagram, to Mailchimp, and beyond.

AI Capabilities

Finally, one thing both Looka and Shopify do have in common, is access to AI-powered tools.

Personally, I found Looka’s AI capabilities a little simplistic compared to the ones you get on other web-based design platforms. Canva’s AI solutions, for instance, are a lot more advanced.

However, Looka does allow you to leverage AI to create custom logos and branded assets a lot faster with basic text prompts.

I just wish there were more AI editing tools, such as an intelligent background removal, or a generative AI image creation tool.

Shopify’s AI solutions are more focused on the world of commerce. Shopify Magic, for instance, makes it easy to create unique product pages by removing image backgrounds, or generate descriptions and titles.

It can create answers for your FAQ page, elevate your email marketing strategy, and turn live chat interactions into checkout experiences.

Shopify Sidekick, on the other hand, allows you to use AI to enhance your business management strategy. It can help you set up tailored shipping strategies, keep track of your inventory, or optimize your reports with in-depth analytics and suggestions.

A Few Other Areas Where Shopify Stands Out

Before we discuss customer support, and ease of use, it’s worth noting that there are a few other areas where I think Shopify stands out and delivers a better experience to Looka overall.

Looka might be a great tool for basic design generation, but Shopify gives you countless resources to help you run and manage your business.

Since it’s intended for ecommerce vendors, Shopify includes a range of business management tools, including inventory management solutions, product, order, and shipping management, and access to customer relationship management tools.

Shopify also makes it easy to keep track of your company’s growth, with in-depth reports and analytics that help you identify your most popular products, evaluate customer behavior and more. You can’t really access any analytical tools with Looka.

Shopify vs Looka: Ease of Use and Customer Support

Both Looka and Shopify are extremely user-friendly platforms. You don’t need any coding or design experience to use either solution.

The website design and logo design tools offered by both companies are very straightforward and great for beginners.

However, it’s worth noting that Shopify might have a slightly higher learning curve than Looka overall. The platform is a lot more comprehensive with a wider range of tools to discover and experiment with.

Alternatively, Looka is intended mainly for basic design requirements, and doesn’t have any ecommerce tools, inventory management capabilities, or the ability to create marketing campaigns.

I’d probably recommend giving yourself a little more time to get used to all the functionality offered by Shopify, particularly if you’re a beginner in the ecommerce space.

In terms of customer support, Looka and Shopify both offer access to comprehensive resources, such as guides and FAQs.

However, Shopify has a more robust community for extra guidance, as well as videos and valuable blogs you can access for more information.

For direct support, you can contact Looka via live chat and email. Shopify offers chat, email, and phone support, although the speed with which you’ll access responses to your questions can vary depending on the plan you choose.

Shopify vs Looka: Verdict

Ultimately, Shopify and Looka are both excellent platforms, but they’re intended for very different purposes.

Looka is great if you’re searching for a cost-effective and convenient way to create branded assets like logos, business cards and social media templates.

Shopify, on the other hand, is the best option if you’re searching for a comprehensive ecommerce solution which allows you to sell through a range of channels.

Keep in mind, while both platforms offer logo design tools and website builders, Shopify is the only solution (in this comparison), that can support ecommerce.

The US may no longer be the world’s largest ecommerce market – China now holds pole position and by a sizable margin. However, the US is the global pioneer, opinion leader and trend setter in many respects. It remains, arguably, the world’s most sophisticated.

Ecommerce sales as a proportion of total retail sales have been growing steadily over the years – from 11.1% in 2011 to 15.6% in 2023.

That growth is bound to continue as more businesses create a seamless ecommerce experience and as more people gain confidence in buying products online. Today, many of the best ecommerce companies in the world are in the US.

How We Chose the Best Companies

But how do we determine what best means? We could always go with market cap, market share, sales or visitor traffic.

Market cap is not a good measure of ecommerce capability. Market share and sales would be great metrics but not all companies share their revenues publicly and even when they do, not all of them indicate what proportion of sales can be attributed to ecommerce.

Visitor traffic is for now one of the more balanced and accessible indicators. It does have flaws of its own. For example, not everyone that visits Apple.com is necessarily there to buy a gadget or pay for a service. Some could be looking for customer support or troubleshooting help.

Further, visited traffic is not disaggregated by country though most ecommerce websites that do substantial business in other countries create a country specific domain (e.g. amazon.co.uk for the UK market). Nevertheless, traffic is a fairly good gauge of an ecommerce store’s reach.

Here’s a look at the best ecommerce companies in the US based on monthly traffic. To distinguish ecommerce sites from high traffic general websites, we picked websites that are fitted with standard ecommerce capabilities.

The Top USA Ecommerce Companies in 2024

1. Amazon

Perhaps the least surprising entry on our list and what was certainly going to be number 1, Amazon.com has become a byword for ecommerce and a fixture of everyday life for the average American. With 2.1 billion monthly visits as at February 2024, Amazon.com has been the top ecommerce website in the US for years now.

The company’s 2023 ecommerce revenue stood at $237 billion placing it far ahead of everyone else. A business that started off as an online bookstore, Amazon.com has morphed into a giant online supermarket where you can find almost anything you need.

The 167 million Americans signed up as Amazon represent about half of the country’s entire population.

Its innovative approach has seen Amazon.com disrupt and shape ecommerce industry standards in multiple ways.

Amazon has been most responsible for the drastic reduction in delivery times and delivery charges. Given its order value, the company even started its own logistics company that now covers more than half of all deliveries (the rest taken up by UPS and providers).

2. eBay

This is yet another unsurprising entry in the top two. One of the oldest ecommerce websites in the world (it was launched in 1995), eBay is a virtual auction house where people can sell anything from real estate to celebrities’ food leftovers. Its acquisition of PayPal in 2002 grew both eBay and PayPal.

eBay draws 674 million visits a month and holds unusually high sway among middle aged and elderly Internet users when compared to its competitors, perhaps a byproduct of its decades-long reputation. The ‘Buy It Now’ instant purchase option has made it popular with platform users.

Its gross merchandise volume (successful transactions between the platform’s users) stalled at $80-90 billion between 2014 and 2021 before dropping to $74 billion and $73 billion in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Similarly, the company’s revenue has stagnated and was $10 billion in 2023. Despite these setbacks, eBay remains the second largest player in the ecommerce space. It is unclear how long the company can hold on to its position given the rapid and consistent growth of many of the websites that follow it.

3. Apple

Apple may have lost the title of the largest company in the world by market cap to Microsoft. However, it remains one of the world’s most valuable brands and has a famously loyal customer base. The technology company’s phone launches routinely draw long lines outside its physical stores with many camping hours before opening. So the 446 million visits monthly to Apple.com provides more proof of its products’ appeal. Apple.com has ecommerce net sales of $59 billion per year.

A pioneer of mass market computers and smartphones, Apple.com offers phones, tablets, computers and wearable technology. To bridge the gap between shopping offline and online, Apple.com includes the ‘Shop with a Specialist’ free service where buyers get a live video shopping experience on the website. Shoppers can browse the latest phone models, compare features and consult an Apple Specialist to determine the best deal.

4. Etsy

Etsy.com is a creatives’ marketplace that attracts 430 million visits a month. It has more than 6 million active sellers (the overwhelming majority being small businesses) and in excess of 90 million buyers. Notably, the exact address of each online business may vary slightly. For instance, different domain names might have IP addresses like:

  • 23.227.38.32
  • 23.227.38.36
  • 23.227.38.74

To find websites that have a Shopify ID, all you need to do is visit MyIP.MS and enter Shopify’s IP address (23.227.38.65) into the search bar. Click on “Whois Lookup”, then click on “Other sites on this IP” to see all of the websites using a similar IP address.

You can also scroll down on Shopify’s IP page to see a list of well-known websites using the same IP address, such as Gymshark.com, and Gempages.net.

Another great thing about this method is you can narrow down your list of Shopify stores to the most successful options. Once you enter Shopify’s IP address, click on “View all Records” and click “World Site Popular Rating” to see which stores rank at the top.

Other Apps and Tools for Finding Shopify Stores

Alongside the three methods above, there are also various other ways you can search for Shopify stores online. Most involve using specific apps and tools, for instance:

  • Koala Inspector or Commerce Inspector: Tools like Koala Inspector, Commerce Inspector, are great for getting insights into ecommerce stores. These tools can help you track product trends over time, monitor brand ad campaigns, and conduct deeper research into your competitors. Apps like these are useful if you want to learn more about a specific store.
  • SimilarWeb: Competitor analysis tools like SimilarWeb can be extremely useful for finding out details about a Shopify store, without the need for any technical know-how. With SimilarWeb, all you need to do is enter keywords related into your niche into the SimilarWeb search bar, and it will surface a list of stores related to those terms.
  • FindNiche: Find Niche is a website that allows you to track down websites specific to your niche. Simply visit the website, click on “Shopify” at the top of the page then “Shopify Store”, and type in the keywords you want to search for. It’s just like using a search engine.
  • Social media platforms: Social media platforms can also be a great place to look for Shopify stores. You can join groups on channels like LinkedIn or Facebook dedicated to entrepreneurs using Shopify websites. Alternatively, you can look for hashtags that include the word “Shopify”, to track down success stories, theme information and more.
  • Forums: Another option is to use forums like Reddit, or even Shopify’s own community forum to search for other companies using Shopify. This can also be a great way to connect with other store owners if you’re looking for advice for store optimization, hacks on how to grow your store, or tips on which integrations to use from the Shopify app store.

How to Find Successful Shopify Stores

Notably, while finding Shopify stores is relatively simple, standard search operators and directories won’t always be able to give you a lot of information about each ecommerce website you discover.

If you want to make sure you’re focusing your attention on successful Shopify stores, I recommend using the Ecomm.Design gallery.

What I really love about this website is how it demonstrates how flexible Wix’s product pages can be.

Since the company allows users to order “custom” products, most of its product pages feature a range of options, with color swatches for different aspects of every design, size options and more.

As you adjust your order, the Wix website automatically upgrades your order total, giving you complete visibility into what you pay before you add anything to your cart.

Pepper Home also takes advantage of Wix’s blogging functionality, and a custom integration for a social media feed, which it uses for social proof.

2. Nuori

Based in the UK, Nuori is a company that sells natural skin and beauty products, designed specifically for people with sensitive skin.

The company was created with a focus on “Scandinavian minimalism” and that’s something that definitely shows in the website’s sleek and simplistic design.

There are a few particularly impressive elements to this website. The first is how interactive it is, with animated pictures, and a scrolling banner at the top of each page to showcase the company’s latest offers.

I also love how the site is organized, with a comprehensive “store” section, featuring numerous categories, and filters for sorting by skin type, or skin problem.

Nuori has even used Wix’s tools to create a “skincare quiz” for its customers, that directs each visitor to the perfect product for their needs, allowing for a more personalized shopping experience.

3. Margaux

Footwear company, Margaux, has earned significant attention in recent years for its unique approach to designing shoes that offer both style, and comfort.

This Wix ecommerce website has plenty of great features worth pointing out, from the miniature video on its homepage that draws attention to it’s products, and the design team, to the included blog for content marketing.

The shop is also beautifully designed, with different sections for trending styles, bridal shoes, best sellers, and more.

I was particularly impressed by the custom-made application on the website, which allows users to “design their own” shoes. You simply click on the style of shoe you like, and you’re taken to a page where you can choose colors, personalization elements, buckles and more.

Plus, I love the fact that Margaux includes comments and reviews on all of its product pages, so you can check out what other customers think before you make a purchase.

4. Rebecca Ink

As I mentioned above, I usually recommend Wix as an ecommerce platform to smaller companies and creators with a limited product portfolio.

It doesn’t have the most robust ecommerce features, but it’s ideal for selling just a handful of products. That makes it a great fit for the Rebecca Ink brand.

This company, launched by artist Rebecca, sells a variety of coloring pages, prints, and specialty gifts.

One particularly interesting thing about the site is it also includes links to Rebecca’s other sales channels, on platforms like Society 6, so visitors have more than one way to shop.

The website also takes advantage of Wix’s content creation tools, with a fantastic section dedicated to sharing drawing tutorials with beginners. This is a great way for Rebecca to collect contact details and subscribers for her newsletter.

5. Sproos

The Sproos company sells unique shower systems and accessories, designed to transform your bathroom experience. I love just about everything this website has to offer, from it’s bright and colorful theme, complete with stunning photographs, to its animated image sections.

Every part of the website looks professional, and well-made, which is a testament to how easy Wix makes it to create a fantastic ecommerce store.

Plus, there’s a brilliant built-in chatbot feature, powered by the Gorgias integration for Wix, which allows you to quickly ask questions as you shop.

The product pages are definitely the most impressive part of this website, with gifs that show you how the products work, reviews sourced from social media, and custom illustrations.

6. Ketnipz

Though the website theme is relatively minimalistic, with plenty of white space, the custom illustrations and images are packed with personality.

This is also one of the most comprehensive examples of a Wix ecommerce website I’ve seen, with multiple sections for apparel, plushies, footwear, accessories, and even “mystery bundles”.

The site is fully mobile responsive, and the store is easy to navigate. There are even “Sold Out” tags included on certain items, so you know which products aren’t available to purchase.

I also appreciate the fact that this website gives customers plenty of payment options to choose from, including PayPal, and Apple or Google Pay.

The only thing missing in my opinion is a blog section, but Ketnipz does include links to its social media profiles on the site, which shows it is taking steps to boost brand awareness.

7. Mia Mau

Otherwise known as “Mammamiu.com”, Mai Mui is a website clearly designed for the creator economy era. Here, visitors will find a range of unique products to explore, including hand-made original art, jewelry, temporary tattoos, mugs, buttons, and even free downloads.

The shop section is relatively simple, but it’s well designed, with large product images, and clearly labelled sections, so you can filter through the products you’re interested in quickly.

It also features a handy “sort by” option, making it easy to organize products by their price or what’s new.

I also love the “Projects” section, which is Mia Mua’s version of blog page, where they share insights into their art work, as well as tips for aspiring creators.

8. Not Just Pajama

Not Just Pajama is a company that sells sleepwear in a range of forms, from silk lingerie and dresses to velvet slippers. Like most of the Wix ecommerce website examples here, it benefits from a stunning responsive template, packed with high-quality photography.

There are even animated sections on the website that grab your attention as you scroll through, and draw attention to the unique materials the brand uses in their products.

The best thing about the store section of this website is how easy it is to navigate. You can sort through products by category, choose your ideal price with a slider, and decide to organize products based on their price, when they were added to the store, and more.

There’s even a button that allows you to automatically remove “out of stock” items from your search.

9. Evolve Clothing Gallery

The Evolve Clothing Gallery is a fashion company best known for its high-quality, luxury garments. The brand sells everything from gorgeous eyewear and hats to stunning footwear, and everyday t-shirts.

Unlike most clothing companies, Evolve doesn’t just sell its own branded products, it sources clothing from a range of well-known designers.

Almost every aspect of this website looks incredible, from the sleek product category pages, with plenty of white space between each professional photograph, to the homepage, which uses a unique scrolling effect to immerse you in the experience as you move through the content.

I love the fact that Evolve also takes advantage of unique shipping options supported by Wix, such as giving customers the opportunity to order products online and pick them up in-store.

10. Togetherness Design

Well-known for its use of bold prints and patterns in clothing, Togetherness Design is an innovative fashion company with a bright and colorful website. I love how the small details on this website showcase the unique personality of the brand, without being overwhelming.

The store section is well-formatted, with animated images that change as you hover over them, and a convenient “add-to-cart” button in the category pages.

I also like how the company gives you plenty of payment options, including a buy-now-pay-later solution through AfterPay.

Plus, the company encourages customers to share the products they love on social media, with buttons on every project page encouraging sharing, even through channels like WhatsApp.

While Wix might not be my top pick for every ecommerce store owner, it’s still a great platform, particularly for beginners with limited products to sell.

Today, I’m going to attempt to bust that myth, by providing an insight into some of the world-leading brands that use Shopify to promote products, manage business processes, and optimize sales.

Clearly, there are millions of companies online today that have chosen Shopify as their go-to ecommerce platform.

For this list, I’m focusing on just some of my favorites, and sharing insights into how the Shopify platform is helping them grow, scale, and thrive.

LazyOaf uses the Shopify “Slate” theme, which gives it access to a comprehensive mega menu, quick views for products, and automated EU translation features.

It also takes full advantage of Shopify’s integrations with live and automated chat tools, ensuring it can provide customers with personalized guidance throughout their shopping journey.

Tropic Skincare is quickly becoming one of my favorite health and beauty brands. Not only does it specialize in creating highly eco-friendly and sustainable products, but it gives customers numerous ways to purchase products, both through its online platform, and team of ambassadors.

Tropic has built a fantastic user experience with its Shopify store, combining a responsive theme, with valuable tools, like it’s dedicated “skincare routine finder”, and a robust blog.

Plus, the company takes advantage of Shopify’s integrations with social media platforms and email marketing tools, to ensure it can constantly engage its target audience, across multiple channels.

Cambridge Satchel

In this review, we’re looking specifically at the Canva Pro free trial. However, you can use Canva for free indefinitely.

The free version of Canva offers a simplified version of the platform, with many of the same user-friendly tools. If you want to start using Canva without entering your credit card details, the free plan is an excellent choice.

However, there are some limitations to the design tools you get. For instance, you’ll only get a fraction of the royalty free videos and images available on the platform. You also only get a handful of output options to choose from when you’re exporting your designs.

Canva’s free version also limits access to advanced design features, such as the magic resize tool for social media, the image background remover tool, and the video background remover. Plus, you can’t create brand kits, for commercial purposes.
